Sometimes what I wouldn't give to have us sitting in a bar again at 9:00 a.m. telling lies to one another, far from God.

About This Quote

To have the opportunity to be with my husband alone in a bar, sharing secrets and being able to talk freely about anything. Unfortunately, this is not something that we can do nearly as often as we would like. We are both in ministry, which means that they are always calling us out on our time off. As much as I would love to spend my time with my husband in a bar, I would rather be with him in church.

While church is not always fun when you are trying to socialize with your friends, it is the place where my husband is able to connect with God when he is ready to open up. He can also share his heart with his pastor who is there to comfort him. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have to be in church with my family, even though I still want those moments of me and my husband alone in a bar again.
